Collection: Poncho Scarves

Thirteen woven patterns, each in a spread of colorways, all cut to one size and sewn by hand. Slip one over your head and the seam does the styling.

  • Impossible to get the size wrong

One size, and it drapes from the shoulders instead of fitting the body. Nothing to measure, and nothing awkward to ask before you buy one for someone else.

  • One piece, five different looks

Move the seam and the same scarf reads as a soft cowl, an asymmetric drape or a clean poncho. Loop it at the neck or leave it open on the shoulders and it is a scarf and a shawl too. A printed sheet showing all five comes with every order.

  • No two are ever the same

Woven, cut and sewn by hand since 2011. Small variations in the weave are the cloth telling you a person made it.

The whole range

What you are choosing between

What you are actually buying

One woven panel with a center opening and closed sides. It goes over your head and stays where you put it. Nothing fastens and nothing ties, so it does not need holding closed while you carry a bag, drive, or pick up a child.

The seam is the styling

At the front it gathers into a soft cowl. At the side it drapes asymmetrically. At the back it reads as a clean poncho line. Looped at the neck with both ends hanging forward, it is a scarf. Left open on the shoulders, it is a shawl.

One blend, two weights

Everything here is viscose and acrylic. The viscose gives the drape and the soft hand, the acrylic holds the color through a season of markets. Most patterns are woven light enough for a summer evening. The Cozy and Fuzzy weave is thicker and cut shorter, made for winter.

Looking after it

Hand wash, or machine wash cold on a delicate cycle, then lay flat to dry. No dryer and no dry cleaning. If a thread pulls, do not cut it. Tug the fabric gently in every direction and the weave will settle back.

If you searched for a scarf top

You are in the right place, although the phrase now covers two different garments. The tied silk kind is a summer top in itself. Ours is woven, goes on over the head, and layers over what you are already wearing.

Not sure where to start?

Most people start with a semi solid or a paisley, because they go with the most. Then it is worth two minutes on where to put the seam, because that changes the garment more than the colorway does.
