One legendary do-it-all garment. Five ways to wear it.
Love My Shawls! Handmade poncho scarves, beautifully woven and sewn by hand, found at festivals across the Southwest since 2011. These perfect accessories have a way of being invited to everything you do.
Nine seconds is usually enough
There is nothing to tie and nothing to fasten. It goes on over your head, and then you decide where the seam sits. That one choice is what turns a single piece into five different looks.
Five ways to wear the same piece
Read the full guide-
Seam at the front
The fabric gathers into a soft cowl at the neck. The warmest arrangement and the most covered, which is why it is the one most people reach for first.
-
Seam at the side
A quarter turn and the drape goes asymmetric, with more fabric falling on one side. This is the position that covers front and back evenly.
-
Seam at the back
Turn it all the way around and the front becomes one clean line across the chest. The most streamlined of the five, and the easiest over a collar.
-
Looped at the neck
Nothing goes over your head. Loop it once at the neck and let both ends hang forward over your shoulders, the way you would wear a long scarf.
-
Open on the shoulders
Left open and unfastened, the way you would wear a shawl. The one to reach for when the evening is only slightly cool and you want the layer available rather than on.
Thirteen patterns, and one of them is yours
Every one is sewn by hand and the weave varies bolt to bolt, so no two come out quite the same. Start with whichever one you cannot stop looking at.

Three weights, one cut
-
The lightest one
See the Lightweight StripeA single piece is woven thinner than the rest and cut noticeably larger. It packs to nothing, works over a swimsuit, and doubles as a plane blanket. It is also the wrong choice for petite frames.
-
The everyday weave
Browse the everyday weaveEleven of the thirteen patterns share the same everyday weave. Light enough for a summer evening, warm enough for a fall market, and the reason one piece covers most of the year.
-
The winter one
See the Cozy and FuzzyOne piece is woven thick and blanket-like and cut shorter, so it behaves more like a sweater than a layer. It is the only genuinely warm option, it can be worn inside out, and it is the one that ends up over your knees on the couch.

Fifteen years of making shawls that make you feel good
Every piece is sewn by hand, one seam at a time, between Colorado and Arizona, then carried to art fairs, music festivals and holiday markets across the southwest. If you already own one, there is a good chance it was bought at a booth, and that the conversation is still remembered.
That is also why the range works the way it does. People choose with their hands and their eyes, so every pattern comes in a spread of colorways and the only real decision is which one is yours.
It answers to a lot of names
People buy it as a beach cover up, a travel wrap, an airplane blanket, a festival layer, and the thing that rescues a sleeveless dress at an evening wedding. It gets called a scarf top, a shawl, a ruana, a cape and a wrap, and it turns up in searches for all of them.
It is one garment, made one way, and it happens to be very good at every one of those jobs. It is also, at the end of a cold evening on the couch, a perfectly respectable blanket. What it actually is, is the best poncho you will ever own.
Asked at every show
Questions we get at the booth
Does one size really fit?
One size, and it flatters more people than it fits. It does not fit the body, it wears from the shoulders, so it skims rather than clings. There is no waistband, no armhole and no shoulder seam that has to land in the right spot. What changes with height and build is where the hem falls, and you control that by choosing where the seam sits.
How is it made?
One piece of fabric, folded once and joined with a single seam. Nothing is cut. The opening your head goes through is the gap left between the fold and that seam, which is why it cannot lie flat the way a classic poncho does, and why moving the seam changes the whole shape.
What is it made from?
A soft woven blend, chosen for drape and hand feel above everything else. The Cozy and Fuzzy style is different: viscose (bamboo) and acrylic in a thick waffle weave, cut shorter for warmth.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash, or machine wash cold on a delicate cycle, then lay flat to dry. No dryer and no dry cleaning.
A thread has pulled. Is it ruined?
No, and do not cut it. Take the fabric either side of the pull and tug gently in every direction until the weave draws the thread back in. Pulls are almost always caused by rings and bracelets.
When will it arrive?
Orders ship Tuesday through Thursday with tracking. Shows run over weekends, so an order placed on a Friday goes out the following Tuesday. Shipping is free over $85.
